Friday Follies

Lego Universe

Who can resist the intrepid little blocky Lego characters in their many adventures? Not me. They are definitely tools of the imagination. Since I haven't any little people my life at this time, I'm not interested in any of the children's mmos out there, they seem cloying to me somehow. But Legos, and the upcoming Lego Universe, that is ALL DIFFERENT.

This week 1Up had an exclusive first look at the upcoming game. I have always particularly been fond of pirates! I'm glad to see they're included.

Bioshock 2 Siren's Alley Trailer

Doesn't this just make you wish you were suited up and walking these mean corridors? What's that golden U shaped weapon?

Elder Scrolls Novel

Kotaku speculates that the upcoming Elder Scrolls novel The Infernal City by Greg Keyes portends a new Elder Scrolls game. Since I'm flitting about Tamriel in Morrowind this week and having a great time with the immersive world, I'll gladly take any further telling of the story, in any medium. I pre-ordered this book as soon as I read about it!

Morrowind: Call Me Evoker

I'm clawing my way up in the Mages Guild. I've taken to using my short sword more in a fight because of magicka depletion but of course my magical skills aren't advancing quickly then either. I haven't tried the mod. Trying to figure a way around it.

Browsing at Jobasha's Rare Books in Vivec.

It is the oddest city, with its multiple levels and cross shape. The guards are particularly grouchy, and they sneak up on you and tell you off all of a sudden. Its the Welcome Boot, Charlie Brown!

Galaxies

My architect has had brisk sales of Player Association Galactic Registries this week.
Things have changed since my heyday, you have to buy these to create your guild in the first place, yikes. So much for plunking down a guild hall and adding people by the guild management terminal. They are a small pain because they take 200 units of wooly hide each and I haven't as much of that in stock as I thought.

I have been hopping all over the galaxy and came upon this Pet Zoo. I didn't know that this first picture wasn't the whole zoo. (My character is the Droideka in her Halloween Costume).

I'm thinking the big green guy is cool, and suddenly there's a big grinding of my pc and whoa.

I also came across a hangar with another character, which I thought was really great (but probably TGC card stuff).

I want one! But no on the Trading cards. I actually logged into that this week, driven by curiosity. No clue what was going on. This lets me know that I might actually buy some in game item for a nominal charge, say the price of Horse Armor. But I won't pay to play an obscure mini game for the "chance" at an item. Fork it over or not for a bit of chump change, is my latest thought.
